20 MONTHS LATER!!!!
There is still room for improvement but I’m a lot healthier and stronger than I have been in a long time. I’ve never been over weight except while pregnant (gaining 90, 70, then 70) Since late H.S I’ve been a size 8 or 10. In August 2012 I started lifting weights. I was just running before and that helped me get back to my regular size and maintain it.
Once I started lifting in August and doing my best to eat high protein meals most the time, 15lbs. basically fell off. My sister in law told me to do one of the programs on bodybuilding.com by Jamie Eason. This definitely helped me know what exercises to do. Like I’ve said before in an earlier post I am at a size 4 or 6 now, which is a huge accomplishment for me. I never thought after kids that I would be this size.
I start my day at 6:00a.m., make breakfast and get the kids ready for their day, drive 40 minutes to teach, help my kids with homework, drive to piano, soccer, cook our meals and clean. I’m exhausted most days like any other mom, but I think it’s important to find time for yourself. So 5 evenings out of the week I tuck my kids into bed and I hurry out the door at 8:00pm to go to the gym. I lift heavy weights and run 3 to 4 times a week. I was afraid that I might bulk up, but since I watch my carbs it hasn’t happened. If you have any questions please ask. Finding time to exercise is definitely not easy but it’s worth it!!!!
